    Poet, I'm not trying to preach here...and going off topic for a moment. But, as a Christian, you don't need to ask for forgiveness. Christ's death has covered your sins past, present, and future. Don't burden yourself with the continual "sin - ask for forgiveness - sin - ask for forgiveness" cycle. This is exactly what God eliminated through Christ. The Jews, Catholics, Episcopalians, etc... are still living under this old testament law. Again, not trying to preach. Just trying to help....
