Response:

We are very sorry for this misunderstanding. We are preparing the proposal for the #WeekendAtBernies event. We are still doing research and gathering feedback to make sure the #WeekendAtBernies event is the kind of event that the Bernie Grant Trust and the Bernie Grant Arts Centre will be proud to be associated with.

Response:

We are working to make sure that the upcoming proposal for the #WeekendAtBernies at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre will be most impressive and completely in line/harmony with the purpose and mission of the Bernie Grant Trust and the Bernie Grant Arts Centre.

If there are any individuals or organisations that do not want to be associated with the #WeekendAtBernies event, please would you provide a full list so that we can exclude those individuals and organisations from the proposal?

We are expecting strong resistance to our #WeekendAtBernies proposal from individuals and organisations who were and are opposed to everything Bernie Grant was trying to do with the African Reparations Movement (ARM).  We are looking forward to identifying Racist individuals and organisations and removing them from our proposal for the #WeekendAtBernies event so that we can purge the project from any individuals or organisations that might attempt Racist sabotage.

Response:

We are not promoting the #WeekendAtBernies event. We are promoting the idea of a #WeekendAtBernies event for the purpose of tailoring the future proposal to fit the nature and nurture of the Bernie Grant Trust and the Bernie Grant Arts Centre. We are still gathering opinion on the #WeekendAtBernies project and listening to feedback. A consultation at this time, we believe, would be premature.

We ask for your patience at this time as we garner public opinion on the #WeekendAtBernies event. Superb event security has been in place from the birth of the very concept of the #WeekendAtBernies event. A certain amount of anonymity is necessary at this time to intelligently thwart the danger of Racist sabotage.

So to repeat. Please be sure to make clear the identity of any individual or organisation that does not want to be associated with the #WeekendAtBernies for the sake of ‘Community Cohesion’ and good ‘Race Relations’.

Kind regards

Master John Canoe on behalf of #ARMBRO
