Background Information
The African Reparations Movement was an organisation chaired by high-profile Labour MP Bernie Grant (1944-2000), and seeking reparations for the enslavement and colonisation of the African people. It was established after the 1993 Conference on Reparations in Abuja, Nigeria, which called for national reparations committees to be established throughout Africa and the African Diaspora. The Movement appears to have been wound up, following the death of its chair. Source: www.arm.arc.co.uk
